We are currently hiring for:
Extrusion Team
– Responsible for operating the Extrusion Press, Quench System and Puller System.
– Responsible for the quality of the metal being extruded.
-Monitor equipment performance and provide for maintenance repairs.
-Responsible to find the information regarding the total tooling stack for each die.
-Responsible for operating the Extrusion Cut-off Saw.
-Responsible for the quality of the metal being cut to size.
-Responsible for knowledge of loading and unloading the Age Oven.
-Responsible for tracking order complete/new order on the same die.
-Responsible for operating the Head Stretcher and other related duties.
-Responsible for preparation, installation and removal of die tooling.
-Responsible for safety and proper housekeeping of the Head Stretcher area.
-Responsible for Safe Operation of the Forklift
-Responsible for Receiving in-coming Raw Materials from Suppliers
-Responsible for Receiving in-coming Materials and outside fabrication from Suppliers.
-Responsible for loading Raw Material Logs to be extruded onto Loader.
-Provide assistance to the Heat-treat Oven Utility person in loading ovens.
-Responsible for proper housekeeping of the Extrusion area.
Maintenance Tech
-Responsible to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the processes related to the mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and the facilities of Iowa Aluminum. See Below.
-Responsible for safety and proper housekeeping of the area the maintenance tech is performing maintenance/repairs and the maintenance area.
Electrical
-Able to interpret simple wire diagrams and drawings related to electrical systems
-Ability to test, check, troubleshoot, and repair faulty electrical components
-Ability to change motors, solenoids, and other electrical equipment
-Able to work with 480V power and their distribution systems
-Good understanding of wire diagrams and drawings related to electrical systems and motors
-Good knowledge of electrical theory, codes, material properties and electrical equipment operating principals
-Working knowledge of PLC systems
-Knowledge of transducers, thermocouples and other sensors
Mechanical – hydraulic
-Understanding of mechanical DESIGN, ASSEMBLY drawings and hydraulic drawings
-Ability to test, check, troubleshoot, and repair faulty mechanical and hydraulic components
-Ability to change pumps, motors, piping, drive components, furnace parts and other equipment
-Good understanding of mechanical design, HYDRAULIC AND assembly drawings
-Good knowledge of theory, material properties and principals of operation of mechanical and HYDRAULIC EQUIPMENT
-Able to repair departmental gas fired equipment
Welding
-Ability to weld, cut, and fabricate parts and assemblies using welding shop tools and equipment
-Knowledge of theory, material properties and principals of operation of mechanical equipment
-Good knowledge of theory, material properties and principals of operation of mechanical equipment
Die Shop Manager
-Provide supervision of Die Shop area personnel; Die Shop, Die Caustic Area and Die Storage Area
-Monitor die performance in production and die repair performance.
-Monitor equipment performance and provide for maintenance repairs.
-Order new dies from the die supplier.
-Monitor die supplier’s performance.
-Monitor die sampling and die production runs.
-Provide continual improvement.
Department Supervisor
-Lead and effectively manage a shift of Iowa Aluminum Employees whom together extrude, fabricate and pack product according to the customers’ requirements as stated on the profile drawing and work order.
-Teamwork – Insures his/her shift employees are working individually and collectively with other shifts to work safely, maintain a clean working environment (housekeeping), product quality and productivity
-Understands the plant quality, productivity, and profitability goals and his/her team’s unique role in attaining them.
-Collaborates with other shift leads, supervisors and managers to develop and implements the Production Plan.
-Communicates to all employees what must be done to achieve daily production and quality requirements. Adjusts during the shift to meet changing conditions, assigning or reassigning people as appropriate
-Communicates with other shift leaders issues which arise during the shift. For example – safety, quality, equipment issues, and productivity based on plan.
-Ensures that all machinery is functioning properly and that all materials are available to meet employees and production requirements. If issues arise insures these issues are communicated to other shifts
-Mentors and coaches his/her employees. Provides them counseling and training, and assistance with problems which may affect safety, quality, or productivity.
Packer: Full-Time
-Responsible for Packing Aluminum Extrusions per customer and or company requirements.
-Secure Bundles of finished material and ready for shipment.
-Provide assistance in various responsibilities.
-Monitor equipment performance and if needed, provide for maintenance repairs.
-Responsible for safety and proper housekeeping of the shipping and packing area.
